ECPAT is a global network dedicated to protecting children. They coordinate research, advocacy and action to end the commercial sexual exploitation of children. They support the protection of children and empowerment of 80 members in 74 countries.
What Do They Do…
Builds collaboration among local organizations and the broader child rights community to form a global social movement for protection of children from sexual exploitation. Its membership reflects the richness and diversity of experience, knowledge and perspectives that arise from working in widely different contexts. ECPAT groups are involved in implementation of various initiatives to protect children at local levels, while the Secretariat provides technical support, research and information. It also represents and advocates on key issues at the international and regional level on behalf of the network. ECPAT works towards the end of commercial sexual exploitation of children in four main ways:
Advocate and raise awareness to end of child prostitution and child sex trafficking.
Work on policies to eliminate child pornography and the exploitation of children online
Build frameworks to combat child sex tourism.

Donate: ECPAT International works around the world to help civil society, NGOs, caregivers, policy makers, law enforcers and all those responsible for the welfare of children fight against the commercial exploitation of children. Through projects such as training to law enforcement and the promotion of good law practices, the promotion of youth participation, international advocacy and lobbying of governments, cutting-edge research on emerging manifestations of sexual exploitation or use of the Internet, to innovative projects and partnerships with the travel and tourism industry to eliminate child sex tourism ECPAT International is a global leader in protecting children from sexual exploitation.
Report Abuse: The commercial sexual exploitation of children happens everywhere and if you suspect a child is being sexually exploited, online, through tourism or in your own community call the police or local authorities. If you are planning a vacation or traveling for business consider booking with a hotel or tour company who has signed the Code of Conduct for the protection of children from sexual exploitation in travel and tourism.
